Patch 0.023 for VEIN introduces several gameplay and usability fixes. Players can now destroy stumps and saplings with an axe, and the “stuck” mechanic no longer unfastens downward to prevent falling through terrain. The update addresses multiple bugs, including scoreboard time displaying incorrectly, inventory filter issues, and explosives not properly clearing from inventories after use. Dedicated servers now default to the old save directory, with new command line and ini options added for save directory configuration. Additional fixes improve map target accuracy, binocular visibility in third person, and zombie spawning behavior.
