Valheim — Patch 0.221.13

Valheim's 0.221.13 patch introduces a new save system available in the Public Test branch, accessible via a code in the Steam library. This update changes world saves by saving only modified chunks and splitting the world file into multiple smaller files stored in folders. Backups are now stored separately, and extra checks after saving reduce the risk of corruption. Cloud storage limitations now also consider the number of files, reflecting changes in how saves are handled. Character saves remain unchanged.
