The Last Starship has officially launched version 1.0, exiting Early Access after five years of development and extensive community engagement. This update includes numerous quality-of-life improvements such as reduced UI clutter in the ship editor, enhanced recipe window controls, and new mechanics in Survival Mode where civilian payments are now tied to sector jumps. Lightning rod functionality has been overhauled to better protect ships from damage, and various bugs affecting UI, tutorials, and gameplay systems have been fixed. The developers plan ongoing support with further updates scheduled to begin in March 2024.
