Species: Unknown — Patch 0.21

Patch 0.21 of Species: Unknown introduces a new specimen that can appear in all contract types, featuring unique behavior distinct from existing enemies. Completing contracts involving this specimen gradually unlocks its dedicated room in the Specimen Area. Voice chat settings have been overhauled, splitting the previous single mode into separate options for disabling all communications and enabling proximity chat. Players must reconfigure voice chat preferences, and Push-to-Talk is now the default communication mode, requiring manual key assignment for existing players. Additional updates include a new Emergency Box tutorial, updated codex information, new wallpapers, and various fixes and quality of life improvements.
