Summary (AI)
Patch 0.9.3 of Genome Guardian 2 fixes several UI issues, including incorrect paint button selections and localization errors. The price of Uracil (U DNA) has been reduced from 25 to 15. Cure Progress now only appears on the main menu after discovering at least one File. A warning has been added for using the Solenoid Mod with only a Shield equipped, and issues with the X Guardian description have been corrected. The update also improves onboarding by allowing new players to skip several early tutorials and reduces repetitive popups, alongside fixing numerous unwinnable Daily Dive scenarios.
Tip: expand all for quick scanning.
  • SETUP paint buttons would sometimes end up selecting the colour to the right of what you clicked.
  • U DNA (Uracil) Price: 25 → 15.
  • various localization issues (including Research item names).
  • I'll be real with you guys - it's been very disheartening how much negatively there's been surrounding the onboarding. I don't make these decisions lightly, and they're not as simple as "just have an option to turn them all on or all off".
  • It's very easy to think the solution is obvious when you're not the developer. "Just do it this way", "just do it that way" - indeed, it would be that simple if the goal was to just please you and only you. Me listening to 10 players over 1 player will be percieved as me "not listening to the players" by that 1 player.
  • I really wasn't prepared for how many people would capslock rage at me and send me personal attacks specifically because things like the Bleach tutorial make you Bleach something (using a bunch of free Bleaches the game hands to you...).
  • You know those sites like Patreon or that Buy Me A Coffee one? That's what reviews are to a game.
  • Whether it's 30 paragraphs or 1 letter, they all directly influence Genome Guardian 2's success & exposure.
